Open Question: I am interested in opening a small business but my only equity is in my home, is it possible to get a loan?

I live in NC. About to separate and my wife wants equity from home..(20,000). I want to pay off debt (about $17,000), by getting home equity loan. She doesnt want the house, but wants money I dont have. I am willing to take on all debt, with the home equity loan. We have had the home only two years, therefore, not much equity How do I resolve this ?

Open Question: Does anybody know any Private Financier/ Lender to assist purchase a freehold Hotel in New Zealand USD600 000?

I am an entreprenuar and Pastor venturing into Hotel business in New Zealand and I am looking for finannce to purchase a profitable, ideally located freehold Hotel in Auckland, New Zealand.
I am a highly experienced innovative manager, business strategist and entreprenuar with a strong background in Finance, Hospitality and travel. I am in the process of purchasing a Hotel and I would so much appreciate assistance in getting a Long Term Commercial Loan, mortgage loan or equity finance to the tune of USD600 000.

The property valuations have been done, the financials are available the Sale Purchase Agreements are ready. What is required now is the Finance. I could send additional details to any interested people.

Open Question: Where can I get a personal of $40,000 or more to pay off my 2nd mortgage?

Before you tell me to take out an equity loan or such I can't do that. I am looking to sell my house, but know that I can not sell my house for what I owe with both mrotgages. Since my 2nd mortgage is tied to my first, I would like to find a company who will loan me the money as a personal loan, so then I only have to sell my house for the balance owed on my 1st mortgage. I have to sell my house and am willing to sell it without getting any money out of it; plus, it is not ab option to rent my house and wait for the market to change. Thanks
